Have a favorite place to eat a hamburger? Let us know.
Recently, I asked a question to the @RamblingChief followers on Twitter. Who has the best hamburgers in California?
Why would I ask this question? It’s simple… firefighters regularly travel around the state while on emergency assignments. Often, we are unfamiliar with the areas we are traveling to, and need suggestions for a quick bite to eat before continuing on to our assignments.
We’d like to hear your thoughts. You can reply here in the comments section, or via @RamblingChief on Twitter.

Several folks offered In-N-Out Burger as the best, unfortunately it’s rarely
found off the beaten path that firefighters often travel. I agree, it’s a great burger (I know most of their locations and visit often), but where’s your favorite? Please send your suggestions to @RamblingChief on Twitter or post in the comments section (below). We’ll update the above list as replies come in. Thanks in advance.
I did mention my house, but didn’t expect to be left out… If you are in EMS and are in the Beicia area… Let’s have a burger!

For those doing the Code-5 thing out of State to Idaho, try Bad Boy Burgers in Boise….IMO, better than both Sonic and In-N-Out and half the price for twice the food!
Lucky Boys, South Arroyo Parkway, Pasadena (I think the location at Euclid and Walnut has closed) – great fries, onion rings, fried zucchini, and pastramis, too – enough meat will fall out of the pastrami sandwhich while you’re eating it to make a second sandwhich. Also in Pasadena (and Alhambra) The Hat, Lake & Villa (just south of PFD Station 33), Rick’s, El Molino & Walnut.
In Orange County, Knowlwood’s in Anaheim, Santa Ana, Fullerton, and Laguna Niguel. Burgers at the Silverado Cafe are good, too, and often directly on the beaten path for wildfires (and floods, mudslides, etc.)
McClintock’s in Shell Beach (near Arroyo Grande) is often along the way while traversing the state from one fire to another…
